I have a TV tuner with an audio out which was connected to the AUX-IN on my
old SB Audigy. Now that I'm using onboard sound, I connected it to the
AUX-IN on my motherboard.

The problem is that there is no AUX volume control in Windows. I have
unmuted everything, and even disabled UAJ as the motherboard manual
instructs, but I still don't hear anything when watching TV.

Does anyone know what could be wrong here?

to onbord and what motherboard? And which windows are you using?

Sorry, the TV tuner is a Pinnacle PCTV Pro and I'm running Windows 2000. The
tuner itself works fine because the software I use (DScaler) does not need
any drivers to be installed, so the tuner is definitely outputting audio.

The Audigy was in my old computer which I'm planning to sell. It's staying
with my old computer because my new one already has sound and Firewire.

cheers,

Usually you just need to open vlume control - go to options - properties and
put a check mark next the devices you want to control, in this case AUX.
In the TV card software you also need to tell it what input method it is
using so that it's own volume control can work - On Hauppage card this is on
audio properties.

That's the point. There is no AUX device in my mixer. I have ticked every
possible device listed there, and unmuted each one, and turned the volume
up. I still hear nothing.

Sorry I hadn't been back in touch. Have you tried connecting one of your
optical drives to the AUX connector to see if it is operational? That would
be my next step. I would suspect if it isn't showing in the mixer that it
isn't working.

Another thing you may want to do is to reload the drivers that came with
your mobo, just to make sure nothing was corrupted.
